British Fireworks Championships

The 11th British Firework Championships will be taking place at Plymouth in the summer with English, Welsh and Scottish companies competing to become the overall UK     champions.
Providing an evening of entertainment, the event is staged annually in partnership with Plymouth City Council, to create a family fun event for all age groups.   In addition to the fireworks, there will also be a fun fair, music on the Hoe with Plymouth Sound and street entertainers to keep everyone happy.

Six professional firework companies will be competing in the event – all determined to win the title:  British Firework Champions 2007.

Each of the competitors will be required to put up a 10 minute display – thus giving an overall 30 minutes of fireworks for everyone to enjoy each night.  And because these are some of the top display companies in the UK, the displays promise to be something quite spectacular.
The event, which is subsidized by the  Council, is free to attend.
The best viewing point is Plymouth Hoe where you will also find the fair and music taking place.
