All the events are organised by North Devon Hospice. Individuals and groups throughout the community also organise on behalf of the hospice and if you would like to organise an event on their behalf they would be happy to help you with your plans. Sunday 2nd September - Bideford Charity Fun Run
Starting in Bideford, this challenging 10-mile sponsored run (organised by Bideford Amateur Athletics Club) will take the runners through Instow and Yelland before finishing at Bideford Quay. Following last year’s very successful inaugural run, it would be great to see new and old faces alike.
Sunday 9th September - On Target!
This 3rd annual event is one for the boys! Teams of 4 will work their way tough a series of events that include, amongst others, quad biking, clay pigeon shooting, archery, climbing walls and phazer-zone to attain the ultimate accolade of the perpetual Mega Male Challenge Trophy. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better with the inclusion of at least one new challenge. Entry is £10 per head and all we ask is that you raise as much money as possible.
Sunday 16th September - The Great Devon Dangle
Dare you fill the shoes of those who have dangled before you? Take a leap of faith for your local hospice you will have something to boast about...not to mention the adrenaline buzz! This daring event attracts the brave from all over Devon and although it sounds nerve-wracking and delightfully dangerous, the event is supervised by the experts from Skern Lodge Outdoor Activity Centre - so you're in the safest of hands. Entries for the 180ft drop fill up fast, as do those for the 80ft so don’t let your deliberations dangle for too long!
