Editorial:
As the name suggests, ‘Berties’ is a new hairdressing salon situated in historic Litchdon Street. From the moment that you walk into ‘Berties’, you know you are in a very classy hairdressing salon. Back in 1903, this building was home to the old Brannam Pottery showroom, Geoff has now transformed this gorgeous Grade II listed building into something very special. The building, built in approximately 1845, still retains all of its original features including a Brannam Pottery poster and catalogue which Geoff has preserved onto canvas. The herringbone flooring, chandeliers, chocolate leather seating and dark wood furniture compliments the light interior beautifully. Geoff, who previously owned two salons in East London has recently moved to Barnstaple bringing with him his 30 years of hairdressing experience and decided upon opening up a salon in Barnstaple named ‘Berties’ after his own son. ‘Berties’ caters for all hairdressing needs for women, gents and children. For a friendly atmosphere in a classy environment, visit Berties of Litchdon Street.
