REIKI MASTER & CRYSTAL HEALING THERAPIST During November, I was invited by Malcolm Hudson to review two complementary therapies which he practises. I wasn’t really sure what to expect to be honest as I have never had either before. Malcolm started off by explaining the background behind each of the therapies so I had a better understanding of what to expect and then he asked the all important questions regarding whether if I had any existing conditions that I had consulted my doctor as well.
Malcolm moved around my body, placing his hands above various parts of me working from my head down to my feet. This technique is said to use energy flow from the practitioner’s hands to the areas needing attention. You may feel warmth or tingling but I just felt totally relaxed as if I was asleep. When Malcolm was above my head, I did feel my sinuses aching a little (which I have suffered with in the past) which Malcolm explained was due to the sinuses clearing. Reiki stimulates natural re-balancing of your body so you should always try to relax during the therapy, I must say I slept extremely well that night! Reiki is deeply relaxing, relieves symptoms of stress, it has a positive impact on your mood and gives you a general sense of well being. Next Malcolm demonstrated the Crystal therapy on me which is also used to rebalance the body’s energy system. He placed crystals on my body and then highlighted any imbalances through the crystals. I would definitely recommend a visit to Malcolm even if it is just to de-stress and relax for a while! Malcolm is offering introductory sessions at only £10, see his advert on the opposite page.

We then went into his treatment room where he asked me to get comfortable in a huge armchair, this was where he began his Reiki therapy. He told me to relax and close my eyes if I was happy to and then he gently touched my shoulders. I should say at this point that throughout the therapy, Malcolm only lightly touched my shoulders, head and hands allowing even shy people to have this treatment as it is totally non-evasive.
