October	The BIG October Beer Trial - The Big Sheep Apply to the BIG Sheep for your Beer Trail Passport which will give you a list of all the North Devon pubs taking part in the Beer Trail. Visit each pub and get your passport stamped and once completed, return to the BIG Sheep's Country Life Brewery for a special commemorative Beer Trail Bottle of Beer.
11th	Conker Championships - 2pm -3pm - The Big Sheep The BIG Sheep is on the look out for North Devon's Conker Champion for 2008! Children from across Devon and visitors to North Devon can join together and battle it out for this prestigious award. If you would like to enter please contact The BIG Sheep for your Conker Information Pack. (Open to children 5-16 years)
12th	Devon Cider Festival - 10am - 4pm - The Big Sheep Celebrate one of Devon's oldest harvest drinks - samples to try, apples to crush and juice. Cheeses to compliment your cider will also be on sale alongside some of Devon's finest ciders.
12th	Scarecrow Convention - 10am - 4pm - The Big Sheep Take a ride around our lake and see how many traditional scarecrows you can spot. Learn how to make really creative scarecrows from our resident scarecrow "Creative Colin" who will share tips on how all the BIG Sheep scarecrows have been made.
12th	‘Apple Day’ - RHS Rosemoor
26th	‘Pumpkin Day’ - RHS Rosemoor
26th	British Summer Time Ends Clocks go BACK one hour
31st	Wear it Pink Day - in aid of Breast Cancer
31st	Halloween Party at the ‘Wrey Arms’
31st	Halloween Crafts - Fun Friday - Arlington Court - 11am - 3pm Get into the spirit with this spooky craft workshop for children and try out our fun bat trail around the gardens!
31st	Haunting Halloween Walk - Arlington Court - 7pm - 8.30pm A chilling tale enacted around the grounds of Arlington Court. Not for the faint-hearted! All Tickets £5. Meet at Reception building. Tel:01271 850296
