Plenty to keep the kids busy this summer.

With over 100 different courses on offer at this year’s summer supersport programme, organised by North Devon Council, there’s plenty to keep children occupied throughout the summer holidays

The five-week programme is aimed at providing children aged under 15 with a range of activities to keep them active throughout the summer holidays.

The varied programme offers 14 different types of activities to encourage as many youngsters as possible to take part and try new activities throughout the holidays.

As well as the traditional favourites such as football, cricket, tennis and badminton, there are also adventure days at Skern Lodge, pony days, trampolining, kayaking and mountain boarding.

Lead Member for Cultural Services (Youth and Diversity) Cllr David Butt says: "Getting children involved in sport is a high priority for North Devon Council so it's important to make sure that we continue to offer an exciting and varied programme for the youngsters in the holidays. It not only keeps them busy but it also helps to improve their general fitness and wellbeing."

All the activities on offer are detailed in a brochure prepared by North Devon Council and Parkwood Leisure, the Council’s Leisure Centre Contractors. This is the first time the Council and Parkwood Leisure have teamed up to prepare this brochure. The Summer Supersport brochure is available from primary and secondary schools and leisure centres across North Devon Swimmer photo

The full programme is also on the North Devon Council website
