Hi Everybody
I am sure that you will be very pleased to see this very shorten version of my monthly article!
Unfortunately the first topic that I have to report about, is not a very pleasant one.
Over the past month there have been 8 reported crimes of Criminal Damage, that have occurred at St Paul’s Church, Old Sticklepath Hill which has resulted in 22 panes of glass being broken, with the cost of the repairs to be in excess of £1,600 by person(s) unknown.
We, the Police have taken several steps to catch the offenders. Some of these arrangements I cannot disclose, but what I can say is that we have stepped up the number of random foot patrols within the area, which has also included the use of the dog section.
The Church Wardens and staff have also implemented their own security measures, which does involve the use of a private security company, in carrying out their own foot patrols.
I would like to ask any member of the public or residents who use the footpath, that leads through the churches ground to report any suspicious circumstances to the Police.
Finally
I would like to thank the students from year 7 of Sticklepath Community School for inviting me to a days Rock Climbing and Pot Holing at Dartmoor, during their weeks venture training.
I thoroughly enjoyed the day and much to my surprise I found the rock climbing to be more difficult then I thought.
But you will also be pleased to know, that I ached for several days afterwards!!!!!!!!!
Regards
Tony
