The haunting season is here again and a half term of family fun is ripe for picking at the BIG Sheep, the South West’s premier family attraction. Devilish dudes and girlie ghouls are invited along to one of the most ghostly gatherings ever. Visitors to the best haunt in the South West will be trembling, shaking, shrieking and screaming as they encounter the attraction’s ghastly ghouls and ghosts! Now firmly established as the BIGGEST Spooktacular Halloween Festival in the South West, this year’s Festival takes place from 10am to 6pm from Saturday 25th October to Saturday 1st November with ghoulish parties running from 6.30pm to 10pm on Thursday 30th, Friday 31st and Saturday 1st November.
Fun by Day

The BIG Sheep site will be transformed into a Halloween Haven, for all the family, from the tiny tackers who want to have a fun day out to the adults and teenagers wanting to be scared witless. Pumpkin Princess is the prettiest pumpkin in town and ready to have her photo taken with all our guests throughout the festival. Do dress to impress her as she will be giving spot prizes for who she thinks is best dressed. Costumes and frightening accessories can be purchased in our scary shop, if you dare to visit. Petunia Pumpkin, our expert carver, will be on hand helping children to carve their own pumpkin or to offer tips to adults on how to carve a pumpkin which will frighten off any unwanted guests. A tractor ride to Pumpkinville to see the thousands of pumpkins growing on site will mean travelling through the Forbidden Forest but no need to worry, the ghosts sleep all day and party at night.

Older visitors not suffering from a nervous disposition will be able to venture into the most haunted house in Devon or take our lakeside ghost train ride, which will have visitors shrieking as all sorts of ghastly ghosts appear from under the murky waters! Our massive indoor play area, Ewetopia, will be decked out with all things scary and children and adults will be invited to take part in our “Horrendously Horrid Spook Hunt”. Don’t worry if the ghosts keep moving the clues because the BIG Sheep’s Pumpkin Princess will be around to give you advice on how to out-ghoul the ghosts! Merlin, our magical magician, will be on site from 12noon to 4pm on 27th, 28th and 29th October weaving his wondrous magic throughout the site. Everyone over 1.1 metre in height can have a go at the Wicked Witches’ School of Flying. Our friendly witches in our Shepherd’s Restaurant will be serving up a perfect pumpkin potion, with pumpkins freshly picked from the BIG Sheep Pumpkinville patch.

As well as the Halloween Festival the BIG Sheep will have its usual hilarious and entertaining shows including the World Famous Sheep Racing, complete with jockeys, Horse Whispering, Dog and Duck Trials and the magical Lamb Feeding. Shepherds with a wicked sense of humour will have you laughing out loud as you are introduced to 10 different breeds of sheep that will be strutting their stuff live on stage to music!
As well as our farming fun, children AND adults can burn off excess energy and play safely on a great selection of slides and imaginative soft play climbing areas, tumble towers, mazes and obstacles in our MASSIVE Ewetopia indoor play area.
