Devon GTI 2009 is hosted and organised by North Devon Council. It will be held in Barnstaple on Sunday 5th July 2009. The event is free to attend and features Diana Vickers and Ruth Lorenzo, finalists from the X-factor, performing live on stage. Devon GTI replaces the Devon Youth Games, which has run with great success for the last ten years at venues across the county.

Richard Slaney, North Devon Team Co-ordinator at North Devon Council, says: “Devon Games to Inspire is a fantastic opportunity for young people from North Devon to experience the excitement of a large scale sports and cultural event. We
have organised trials so that everybody has the opportunity to get involved.

A whole day of events and entertainment will be waiting for you at Rock Park, Park School, North Devon Leisure Centre and the Tarka Tennis Centre.

New activities such as dance workshops and street sports on the brand new Rock Skate Park will be included in addition to the normal sports such as cricket, tennis, tag rugby, table tennis and netball.
