Christmas Party Outfits

I don’t know about you, but for me Christmas is the best time of the year. There are presents, great food and, even better, parties! However, everybody knows that parties are always a nightmare if you don’t look your best or if you feel uncomfortable.

Well, this year the fashion trends are great! They’re wearable and there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a cocktail dress or something more casual, there’s a perfect outfit for you.

Cocktail Parties

Dressing elegantly for a cocktail party can be a total nightmare, as we all know. This year’s fashion is all about jewel tones so, whether you’re going for a little black dress or an A-line skirt, a splash of colour will do you the world of good. Try teaming your favourite LBD with a red or green scarf or clutch purse. When trying to find an on-trend A-line and bodice, seek out jewel tones such as deep reds, blues or purples and emerald greens.

To accessorise, brooches are really in fashion this year. They come in many different shapes and sizes and will add something quirky and fun to any cocktail outfit. Or make your look unique by adding owl-themed jewellery – it’s hot this winter!

Casual Parties

When looking for casual party clothes always remember the golden rule: there is a difference between casual and scruffy.Sticking to the jewel colour theme, a pair of stand-out jeans in burgundy or emerald green will add colour and vibrancy to an outfit and look brilliant when teamed with a metallic coloured or black top. For jewellery, remember once again that brooches can add something fun to a normally average look. Go for unusual styles and metallic colours. Alternatively, necklaces can add some glamour to an everyday look. This Christmas, silver jewellery is the way to go when it comes to necklaces, but remember that silver is a cold colour, so don’t team it with gold, bronze, orange or yellow.

Good luck choosing your Christmas party outfit and have fun with your style choices. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
